Zadar Chamber Orchestra has been active since 1961 and it is one of the most representative Croatian chamber ensembles. Presently it is directed by Maestro Ivan Repušić, a Zadar-born conductor with a successful international career. The conductor-in-chief of Munich Radio Orchestra, the first permanent visiting conductor of the German Opera in Berlin, and the former general music director of the National Opera in Hannover, is one of the most significant and most successful Croatian conductors of the new generation. After the performances of Beethoven’s symphonies, the orchestra that celebrates its 60th anniversary in August 2021 last year started with the cycle of integral performances of Brahms’ symphonies, which continues this year with Symphonies No. 2 and No. 3.
